LYRRA Supports Stevens Institute of Technology in Hosting AI & Innovation Fireside Chat with Investment Banking and IBM Leaders

In collaboration with Stevens Institute of Technology, LYRRA proudly supported a landmark fireside chat event bringing together senior executives from the investment banking and technology sectors to discuss the transformative role of AI across industries. The event was organized and hosted by Angelina Saiyi Li, President of Stevens Graduate Women in Business (SGWIB) and Founder of LYRRA.

After the opening from Dean Gregory Prastacos, Business School, Stevens Institute of Technology, the fireside chat featured two distinguished speakers:

Dr. Linda Li, Vice President and Software Engineer III at a major U.S. investment bank

Rahul Daterao, Senior Data & AI Specialist at IBM

Moderated by Angelina Saiyi Li, the session focused on "AI and Digital Transformation: Practical Innovation Across Industries."

Key themes included: The greatest challenges and opportunities facing banking and technology industries today. How digital transformation is reshaping corporate strategies. The cultivation of innovation and inclusion cultures, with a focus on empowering women in critical future skills and workforce development for the next five years; Leveraging AI to enhance customer experience and adapt to shifting customer expectations; The dual impact of AI on job displacement and job creation.

The fireside discussion delivered rare insights into the real-world intersection of AI, strategy, and business innovation, offering attendees a front-row seat to the future of industry transformation.

Beyond the fireside session, the event series curated by Angelina Saiyi Li included exclusive experiential components Angelina Table Experience and IBM Watson Headquarters Visit. Before the fireside chat, select guests participated in a curated "Angelina Table" session at Stevens’ iconic Pi Kitchen, fostering intimate, high-level conversations around AI-driven innovation. A week following the event, Angelina led a group of student volunteers to visit IBM Watson's New York headquarters. Participants engaged directly with IBM senior executives, gaining firsthand insights into IBM’s latest AI business solutions and real-world applications across industries.

Reflecting on the initiative, Angelina Saiyi Li remarked:

"Building bridges between technological advancement and humanistic leadership is no longer optional — it is the new blueprint for future industries. Empowering the next generation to not just understand AI, but to shape it, is the true legacy of our time."

This event series is part of LYRRA’s broader commitment to accelerating the convergence of leadership, technology, and culture — nurturing the minds that will define the next era of global innovation.
